The North Carolina State University, also commonly referred to as NC State, baseball program has been a member of the Atlantic Coast Athletic Conference since its inception back in 1954. Throughout the years, the program has made over 30 NCAA tournament appearances, and also has secured several Conference and Regional Championships. There have been some notable MLB players that came through the NC State baseball program, including Trea Turner, Carlos Rodon, and Andrew Knizner. Coach Elliot Avent sits as the program’s leader in total career victories and also holds the longest tenure as head coach for the program. On the institution side, NC State has about 40,000 students, with the average student paying about $15,000 a year after grant and scholarship aid. About half of the students graduate in four years, with 80% graduating after 6 years.
