If you’re a high school baseball player, or the parent of one, then you’ve no doubt heard of San Diego State University. The Aztecs baseball program competes at the NCAA Division 1 level within the very talented Mountain West Conference. The program has won several conference tournament championships since joining the Mountain West in 2000, and has also made a bunch of regional tournament appearances. While the list of Aztecs that have been selected in the MLB draft is pretty long, their most notable alum is probably Stephen Strasburg, who was the number one overall pick in 2009.
