About

If you're a high school baseball player, or the parent of one, San Jose State University is worth checking out. Taking the field for the first time in 1890, the San Jose baseball program has a very lengthy history. Over the years, the baseball program has appeared in a few regional tournaments and even made it to the College World Series during their 2000 season. While the program hasn't taken home a Mountain West Conference championship yet, they are certainly taking the right steps to accomplish that in the coming years. The Spartans have a successful program that has produced quite a few high-quality MLB draft selections. In the past fifteen years, there have been several players that have been selected in the top five rounds of the MLB draft. So, if you're looking for a great school with a strong baseball program, San Jose State should definitely be at the top of your list.
