Texas A&M University Corpus Christi is a NCAA Division 1 baseball school located on the Gulf Coast of Texas. The Island University (as it’s lovingly called by its students and alumni) has a beautiful campus, passionate fans, and a competitive baseball program. The Texas A&M Corpus Christi baseball program is unique in that it was previously a Division 3 baseball program, before moving to the D1 level in 2007. The Islanders have made several appearances in the Southland Conference tournament but have yet to take home a championship. As the program continues to evolve as a Division 1 program, we’ll expect to see them make deeper runs in the college baseball postseason in the coming years. While the list is pretty short, there have been a few Islanders selected in the MLB draft over the years, including a third-round pick in the 2018 draft. If you’re a high school ballplayer looking for a college to play at, or if you’re the parent of one, you should definitely check out A&M-Corpus Christi. You won’t be disappointed.
