Miami Baseball

Florida
NCAA Division 1

The University of Miami baseball program has a strong history of success, with over 20 College World Series appearances and four national championships. The Hurricanes became a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference starting with their 2005 season, previously competing as an Independent school. Quite a few MLB players came through Miami’s baseball program, including Ryan Braun, Pat Burrell, Aubrey Huff, and Yasmani Grandal. Although he didn’t attend the school, Alex Rodriguez is supporter of the program, and has donated millions of dollars, which have helped Miami with several facility renovations. The University of Miami as an institution is pretty selective from an admissions standpoint, only accepting 27% of their applicants. Their total enrollment is just shy of 20,000, with about 75% of the student population receiving some sort of financial aid.
