UNC Baseball

North Carolina
NCAA Division 1
ACC
The University of North Carolina is well known for their baseball program, which competes within a very strong Atlantic Coast Conference, or otherwise known as the ACC. Due to the strength of their conference, the Tar Heels regularly match up against some of the top baseball programs in all of Division 1 baseball, such as the University of Virginia, NC State, and Florida State. UNC baseball has made over 10 appearances in the College World Series, and have finished as the runner-up two times. Their accolades also include several Conference tournaments and Conference championships. To no surprise, the program has had quite a few players that reached the MLB level, including Matt Harvey, Kyle Seager, and Andrew Miller, just to name a few. From an admissions view, it is a relatively difficult school to get into, accepting about 23% of their applicants. The typical SAT requirements are 650 – 730 for verbal and 660 – 770 for math.
