Dirtbags Travel Baseball – Home of The Seager Brothers

Since 2002, the Dirtbags travel baseball organization has helped over 1,200 players earn college baseball scholarships. The program has also seen 242 of its players get selected in the MLB draft in that same time frame. As we all know, getting drafted and playing in the MLB are two very different things.

The Dirtbags have had about 30 players reach the MLB level. Some of them are pretty well known, including Madison Bumgarner, Chris Archer, Wil Myers, and Corey Seager. Every year, the Dirtbags typically add another player to this list. The most recent alumni to debut in an MLB game was Ryan Jeffers of the Minnesota Twins on August 20th, 2020.

8U through 18U Teams

Now knowing the success this organization has had with its alumni, it should be no surprise that it is one of the top travel baseball organizations across the country. The Dirtbags travel baseball organization operates a number of teams ranging from ages 8 through 18. Several teams are offered within the individual age brackets. For example, they operate 10 different teams for their 17U division. While these teams are mostly operated out of North Carolina, there are also some that are based in Virginia and South Carolina.

Their network of high quality teams was highlighted by the Dirtbags 17U Skrap Pak in 2019. With a strong performance in the WWBA National Championship and a runner up finish at the WWBA World Championship, the Skrap Pak earned a #4 Perfect Game national ranking in the 17U division. Looking at their roster, 7 of their players were committed to East Carolina University, with several other players committed to other high quality D1 baseball programs such as Vanderbilt, UNC, and Georgia Tech.

To summarize the Dirtbags organization moto, do things the right way. By focusing on hard work, honesty, integrity, and fundamentals, they are confident that their players will be able to achieve a high level of success. Additionally, when players graduate from the Dirtbags organization, they’ll know their baseball success was 100% earned.

The organization also focuses on providing its players with a wide range of skills, With a challenging schedule, a team focused environment, and an extremely knowledgeable staff, they are able to appropriately prepare their players for the next level of baseball.

While there is a team focused mentality, instruction is provided at the individual level, so coaches can assess what each player needs to reach his full potential. They also have certified staff members to help players with speed, strength, and agility training. The Dirtbags operate out of a state of the art complex, providing players with an environment to improve their baseball skill set.

Every player that is involved with this organization is serious about playing baseball at the collegiate level and beyond. As a Dirtbag, players can rest assured knowing that the staff will provide guidance throughout the college baseball recruiting and MLB draft processes. The organization has assisted hundreds of players, and the staff members are experts in both of these areas. As a result, players and families will be well prepared to make decisions during these times.
